Thanks to decades of experience in lightweight construction, we manufacture mast and telescoping systems using an optimal combination of high-strength fine-grained steels and aluminum alloys. Benefit from the closed-mast system, which guarantees maximum stability, torsional rigidity, and safety. The power transmission system is installed internally in both the boom and the jib and is protected from external influences or damage.
We also rely
on a time-tested principle for the mast’s telescoping mechanism, using hydraulic cylinders in combination with chains or cables. This ensures smooth and jerk-free telescoping, even with heavy loads and when the boom angle is flat.

The state-of-the-art Böcker crane control system enables extremely smooth, precise, and low-vibration operation. It also prevents the load from getting stuck, ensures a smooth start, and provides precise control of all crane functions. During operation, multiple functions can be controlled simultaneously, making work with a Böcker crane extremely efficient and intuitive.

Numerous software features, both visible and behind the scenes, ensure ease of use and operational safety. These include the automatic setup with self-levelling and live-mode reach display, rotation and erection angle restriction, switching between high-speed and low-speed modes, and the “Go Home” function. The latest-generation control technology also includes automatic rope tracking and point-to-point travel.

All Böcker truck cranes can be controlled intuitively and easily using a radio remote control with a large, full-color graphic display. It displays all operating procedures on a single control screen. The user-friendly, clear representation of the operating status is supported by self-explanatory pictograms. Even during setup, the continuously updated reach display enables optimal placement of the crane.

As standard, the radio remote control displays sensor readings for diagnostics as well as the fuel or battery level. For optimal operator visibility of the work area, a hook camera with image transfer to the display is available as an option. Alternatively, another crane operator can take over control via a handover function using a second radio transmitter.

With Böcker outrigger technology, each individual crane outrigger can be extended to different lengths using the radio remote control. A reach preview during outrigger positioning helps the operator achieve optimal crane setup. Thanks to flexible positioning and ideal setup geometry, every available centimeter is utilized—a decisive advantage in tight spaces. 

The practical self-levelling system ensures fast and safe crane setup. In addition, electronic monitoring of the support position and automatic clearance of the safe working area guarantee stability at all times. Thanks to the long support stroke, Böcker truck cranes offer the greatest possible ground clearance and can navigate even significant unevenness.

The design-related, uniquely small slewing radius of the a-frame—which does not require extendable counterweights—enables operations with single-sided outriggers while traffic continues to flow. As a result, Böcker cranes support the lifting of all types of loads even in tight spaces in large cities or residential areas.

The crane’s transport configuration corresponds to its operational configuration. Upon arrival at the job site, the truck crane does not need to be ballasted or reconfigured and can safely begin work without delay.

The BöckerConnect digital portal provides you with online access to all relevant data for your connected cranes. It stores the current status, master data, performance data, and usage statistics for each crane. In addition, you can view the crane’s current location at any time and configure theft alerts via geofencing.

An integrated remote maintenance module is installed in the crane for data collection. Diagnostic data transmitted continuously enables detailed remote maintenance and expert technical support from Böcker Customer Service. The module also features an error log, enables operation simulations and planning via the Böcker Liftplanner, and includes a weather API.

As a general rule, Böcker truck cranes operate without separate auxiliary units. The proven single-engine design for the truck, crane, and work platform reduces operating costs and maintenance requirements. Added to this is the convenience: one tank, one fuel type, one refueling process.

The single-engine design offers maximum reliability and more than sufficient power reserves in all operating situations. The battery-powered emergency control system ensures continued operation even in the event of engine failure. During platform operation, there is no noise pollution from an additional drive unit.

Böcker focuses on electric drives and offers a wide range of alternatives to the internal combustion engine. The electric drives operate quietly yet with their usual power, allowing multiple crane functions to be performed simultaneously.

Most Böcker truck cranes are available as hybrids, featuring a 400 V electric drive in addition to the truck’s PTO auxiliary drive. Thanks to the adjustable Protection rating (32 A / 63 A), the crane always utilizes the maximum available current. With the eReady kit, the crane can be prepared for the later retrofitting of an electric drive. Alternatively, the AK 37e is available as a hybrid crane with a battery and convenient 230 V charging technology for standard household outlets. Drive and operate purely electrically with the AK 48e, an electric crane that utilizes the truck’s E-PTO.

Thanks to the Easy-Lock system, all Böcker truck cranes can be quickly converted into fully functional aerial work platforms in just a few simple steps and without tools. Depending on the application and crane model, you can choose from various access platforms with payloads ranging from 200 to 600 kg. The PK 600-D access platform, which can be hydraulically extended to a width of up to 3.5 m and rotated 440°, offers maximum flexibility. Since the platform can remain attached during maneuvering, nothing stands in the way of quickly repositioning the aerial work platform.

For maximum working comfort, every Böcker access platform comes standard with automatic leveling and a work power supply. The onboard electrical system is used to generate power, eliminating the need for a separate drive motor.

In addition to stage mode, the personnel safety mode also significantly expands the range of applications for a Böcker crane. In this operating mode, any truck crane can be used to provide fall protection for personnel working at heights. A safety device hangs from the load hook, connecting the person on the roof to the crane via a wire rope within a certain radius of operation.

This equipment option is ideal for providing short-term protection for roofers, carpenters, or tradespeople working at great heights without the need for the time-consuming setup of scaffolding.
