Thanks to decades of experience in lightweight construction, we manufacture mast and telescoping systems using an optimal combination of high-strength fine-grained steels and aluminium alloys. Benefit from the closed-section mast system, which guarantees maximum stability, torsional rigidity and safety. The power transmission system is installed internally in both the boom and the jib and is protected from external influences or damage.
We also rely
on a tried-and-tested principle for the telescoping of the boom, using hydraulic cylinders in combination with chains or ropes. This ensures smooth and precise telescoping, even when handling heavy loads and with a flat boom angle.

The state-of-the-art Böcker crane control system enables extremely smooth, precise and low-vibration operation. It also prevents the load from jamming, ensures a smooth start-up and enables precise control of all crane functions. During operation, several functions can be controlled simultaneously, making work with a Böcker crane extremely efficient and intuitive.

Numerous software features, both visible and running in the background, ensure ease of use and operational safety. These include the automatic erection system with self-levelling and live-mode reach display, rotation and erection angle restriction, switching between high and low speed, and the ‘Go Home’ function. The latest-generation control technology also includes automatic rope tracking and point-to-point travel.

All Böcker truck cranes can be controlled intuitively and easily via a radio remote control featuring a large, full-colour graphic display. It displays all operating sequences on a single control screen. The user-friendly, clear representation of the operating situation is supported by self-explanatory pictograms. Even during set-up, the continuously updated reach display enables the crane to be positioned optimally.

As standard, the radio remote control displays sensor readings for diagnostics and the fuel or battery level. A hook camera with image transfer to the display is available as an option to provide the operator with an optimal view of the working area. Alternatively, a second crane operator can take over control via a handover function on a second radio transmitter.

With Böcker’s outrigger technology, each individual crane outrigger can be extended to different lengths using the radio remote control. A reach preview during outrigger positioning helps the operator to set up the crane optimally. Thanks to the flexible set-up and ideal geometry, every available centimetre is utilised – a decisive advantage in confined spaces. 

The practical self-levelling system ensures quick and safe crane erection. Furthermore, electronic monitoring of the support position and the automatic activation of the safe working area guarantee stability at all times. Thanks to the large support stroke, Böcker truck cranes offer maximum ground clearance and can negotiate even significant uneven ground.

The design of the a-frame, which features a uniquely small slewing radius without extendable counterweights, enables it to be used with single-sided outriggers whilst road traffic continues to flow. As a result, Böcker cranes can lift all kinds of loads even in confined spaces in major cities or residential areas.

The crane’s transport configuration corresponds to its operational configuration. Upon arrival at the construction site, the truck crane does not need to be ballasted or reconfigured and can safely commence work without delay.

The BöckerConnect digital portal provides you with online access to all relevant data for your networked cranes. The current status, master data, performance data and usage statistics for each crane are stored here. Furthermore, the crane’s current position can be viewed at any time, and theft alerts can be configured via geofencing.

An integrated remote maintenance module is fitted in the crane for data collection. Diagnostic data transmitted continuously enables tailored remote maintenance and expert technical support from Böcker Customer Service. The module also features an error log, enables operational simulations and planning via the Böcker Liftplanner, and includes a weather API.

As a general rule, Böcker truck cranes operate without separate auxiliary units. The tried-and-tested single-engine design for the truck, crane and platform reduces running costs and maintenance requirements. Added to this is the convenience of operation: one tank, one fuel, one refuelling process.

The single-engine concept offers maximum reliability and more than sufficient power reserves in all operating situations. The battery-powered emergency control system ensures the machine remains operational even in the event of engine failure. During platform operation, there is no noise pollution from an additional drive unit.

Böcker is committed to electric drives and offers a wide range of alternatives to the internal combustion engine. The electric drives operate quietly whilst delivering their usual power, enabling several crane functions to be carried out simultaneously.

Most Böcker truck cranes are available as hybrids, featuring a 400 V electric drive in addition to the truck’s PTO. Thanks to the adjustable Protection rating (32 A / 63 A), the crane always utilises the maximum available current. With the eReady kit, the crane can be prepared for the subsequent retrofitting of an electric drive. Alternatively, the AK 37e is available as a hybrid crane with a battery and convenient 230 V charging technology for a domestic socket. Drive and work purely electrically with the AK 48e, an electric crane that utilises the truck’s electric PTO.

Thanks to the Easy-Lock system, all Böcker truck cranes can be quickly converted into fully-fledged aerial work platforms in just a few simple steps and without the need for tools. Depending on the application and crane model, you can choose between various access platforms with payloads ranging from 200 to 600 kg. The PK 600-D access platform, which can be hydraulically extended to a width of up to 3.5 m and rotated through 440°, offers maximum flexibility. As the platform can remain attached whilst manoeuvring, there is nothing to prevent the aerial work platform from being moved quickly.

To ensure maximum working comfort, every Böcker access platform is fitted as standard with automatic levelling and a power supply for the work area. The on-board electrical system is used to generate power, eliminating the need for a separate drive motor.

In addition to stage mode, the personal safety mode also significantly expands the range of applications for a Böcker crane. In this operating mode, any truck crane can be used to provide fall protection for personnel when working at height. A safety device is suspended from the load hook, which connects the person on the roof to the crane via a wire rope within a certain radius of operation.

This optional feature is ideal for providing short-term protection for roofers, carpenters or tradespeople working at great heights without the need for the time-consuming erection of scaffolding.
