Spot-on in terms of compactness and crane performance

As diverse as the trades on construction sites are, so too are their demands on the performance range of crane technology. Along with the AK 42 and the AK 48, the AK 36 is the third of the new generation of truck cranes. As the most compact crane in the series, it combines a slim design with all the advantages of innovative mast geometry, a tremendous working speed and the latest control technology.

When it comes to crane performance, the AK 36 makes no compromises, lifting payloads of up to 2 tonnes (opt. 4 tonnes) to great heights. With boom lengths of up to 36 m (opt. 37.9 m), it handles any everyday lifting operations with ease, achieving an impressive 22 m reach at a height of 20 m with a suspended load of one tonne, for example. It can lift a payload of 500 kg up to impressive 29 m. The hydraulic jib carries and extends up to 800 kg when fully extended - even at a right angle to the boom in the tower crane function or fully extended in a 180° position as straight boom extension.

Manoeuvrability and dynamic handling
The compact vehicle dimensions and a short wheelbase of just 4.16 m make the truck crane extremely manoeuvrable in road traffic and on the construction site. Excellent vehicle handling means the crane can be easily and quickly manoeuvred to the best installation location.
Impressive speed
Its outstanding speed means the AK 36 performs all functions efficiently, is quickly ready for use and guarantees work is completed quickly. The crane functions can even be controlled simultaneously at a constantly high speed.
Hydraulically extendible jib
The jib of the AK 36 is hydraulic and extendible under load up to 10.9 m (opt. 12.8 m). It can support a weight of up to 800 kg, even when horizontal and fully extended.
Vertical position of the boom
The option of erecting the truck crane mast at a 90° angle to the truck opens up new ways of working. This mast position is a great advantage when working close to the façade, for example.
Full extension of the jib joint
The 180° jib joint position extends the AK 36’s possible uses, while also optimising its range. Ideal for platform operation in confined spaces, for picking up loads close to the crane or for reaching remote locations over buildings.
Innovative tower crane function
The strong jib joint of the AK 36 enables the innovative tower crane function. The mast is perpendicular to the vehicle and the jib is positioned at 90°, enabling the AK 36 to extend the jib horizontally like a tower crane.
State-of-the-art control technology
The latest generation of control technology makes operating the AK 36 intuitive and safe. Including reach preview during crane set-up, self-levelling, automatic rope tracking, limitation of the slewing and erection angle, automatic start-up of the tower crane function and go-home function.
