Whether to work, during training or on the weekend with the family - every cycled kilometer counted and could be conveniently recorded via the STADTRADELN app. For three weeks, the Böcker colleagues, as the fourth largest team in the city of Werne, cycled a total of an impressive 6,948 km. This corresponds to a calculated saving of 1,126 kg CO2 for the environment. In the competition within the municipality for the most cycled kilometers, the team thus occupies a good fifth place.
As the most diligent kilometer collector, Mike Warmuth, currently working as a student trainee in production planning and control, reached the top of the Böcker team with a sensational 1,344 km. Having just finished his bachelor thesis, he was able to really take off at the STADTRADELN. Mike almost always covers his way from Lünen to Werne by racing bike. Dortmund Airport is also one of his favorite destinations. During his vacation in Mallorca, which fell within the campaign period, he explored the island on two wheels. For his success, Mike received a voucher for the Böcker Shop and is now perfectly equipped for wind and weather with his new softshell jacket. His wife and his godchild also gave him a special treat: They refined his Böcker polo shirt with a badge in the shape of an embroidered bicycle, which he now proudly wears on his chest.
Also in comparison to all participants of the municipality Mike rode at the top. He achieved the third place of the best individual cyclists in Werne. On the occasion of the award ceremony, the city of Werne invited to a joint celebration with food and drink and mayor Lothar Christ presented Mike with a certificate and a voucher. Also the whole team Böcker was awarded for the second place in the category companies and businesses.
Next year, we will again enter a team in the STADTRADELN. We are looking forward to numerous cyclists and are curious to see if we can top our good result.
