At the DACH+HOLZ International 2026 trade show in Cologne, Böcker will present a groundbreaking advancement in the field of trailer cranes—the new AHK 36e X with a 2-stage hydraulically operated jib. As a Böcker trailer crane of the NeXt Generation, this battery-powered crane combines uncompromising performance with electric drive technology and sets new standards for demanding construction sites. With its hydraulically extendible jib, electric 1.5-metric-ton winch, a redesigned chassis, and optional additional ballast, the new trailer crane fully exploits its performance potential at all times—without compromising on range, payload, or working speed.
2-stage hydraulically extendible jib for maximum flexibility
With the AHK 36e X, Böcker introduces a new top-of-the-line model in its range of trailer cranes, equipped as standard with a 2-stage hydraulically extendible jib. The jib, which can be conveniently extended via a color radio control unit and has a length of 11 m, can support a weight of up to 500 kg even when fully extended. If needed, an optional mechanical extension further increases the range.
A key advantage of the new hydraulically operated jib is the greater flexibility it offers in everyday construction site operations, as well as the optimized use of the available range. The AHK 36e X can operate comfortably with the jib telescoped in any situation and efficiently utilize the crane’s full boom length of up to 34 m (opt. 36 m). Especially in tight setup situations on the ground, the hydraulic jib ensures quick and easy automatic crane setup. Furthermore, the hydraulic jib technology allows for telescoping under load, for example, for transport directly into a building.
Record working height of 32 m
Even when used as an aerial work platform, the hydraulic extension of the jib offers a significant advantage in terms of flexibility and power. In this way, the AHK 36e X achieves a working height of 32 m in basket mode—a figure unmatched in the trailer crane segment. This unrivaled record ensures safe and comfortable work from the basket, even at great heights.
Electric winch for high operating speed
The highly efficient drive concept of the AHK 36e X, featuring an electric winch, a powerful battery capacity of 12.2 kWh, and high efficiency enables electric operation without a power connection for an entire workday or 140 typical lifting operations. The innovative 1.5-metric-ton electric winch delivers impressive rope speeds and recovers energy when lowering the load. Recharging is then conveniently done via any standard 230-volt outlet, either overnight or during operation.
With a maximum payload of 1,500 kg (optionally 2,400 kg in Two-line operation), the AHK 36e X now matches the performance of internal combustion engines. In addition, it offers all the advantages of electric operation. In the future, the new trailer crane will also be available with a petrol engine.
Redesigned Chassis for Greater Ground Clearance
Another highlight of the AHK 36e X is its redesigned chassis, which will simplify transport and maneuvering at the job site. In the transport position, the outriggers are now swiveled forward on the chassis, improving the rear approach angle by 25%. This design modification increases ground clearance during transport—a clear advantage, especially when navigating inclines, declines, and uneven terrain. As a result, the trailer crane can be moved safely over steeper slopes and handles challenging access roads and steep driveways with ease. The redesigned chassis thus enhances the AHK 36e X’s off-road capability and expands the crane’s range of applications.
Optional Additional Ballast for Greater Range
Böcker now offers optional additional ballast for the new AHK 36e X, which allows for a targeted expansion of the trailer crane’s range and working range. This solution is designed specifically for jobs involving extended operating times on demanding construction sites and enables the full performance potential of the crane to be utilized. With a suspended load of 250 kg, the crane achieves an additional reach of approximately 2 m in all directions. The ballast consists of individual weight plates that are attached to the a-frame after the crane has been assembled. Thanks to their ergonomic suspension, the counterweight plates can be installed by a single person without additional tools or complex modifications.
