"Böcker goes Green" is an integral part of the planning and implementation of our new construction projects. The new main logistics warehouse, for which structural work is currently underway, will be equipped with a modern building management system. This system centrally and intelligently controls the heating and ventilation, preventing valuable heat from being lost.
Once all construction work is complete, electricity from our in-house photovoltaic systems will be available throughout the entire facility. Solar modules have been installed on all newly constructed facilities and additions to date, most recently on the new, smaller logistics facility in the form of a 230 kWp PV system. Another system with approximately 400 kWp is being installed on the main logistics facility. This system not only supplies electricity for the heat pumps but also powers the warehouse equipment. In addition, it generates electricity for the administrative building and two other existing warehouses. As a result, all buildings at our corporate headquarters in Werne will be fully powered by solar energy in the future, and our share of self-generated electricity will continue to rise.
