As part of the „Werne putzt sich raus“ campaign week, 31 Böcker trainees and interns picked up rubbish tongs today. They set off together from the company headquarters along the former railway line. On the cycle path north of the river Lippe, past the natural weir and down to the Lippe bridge in Bergkamen-Rünthe, the Böcker trainees collected bags of carelessly discarded rubbish from the countryside. The focus was on having fun together and doing something good for the environment.
In a great atmosphere, the trainees filled numerous sacks with all kinds of rubbish that they discovered in the landscape along the path and in the Lippe floodplains. This included some larger finds, such as car tyres and road posts. After the clean-up, the hard-working waste pickers were treated to delicious pizza and cool drinks.
"It was a successful team activity, for us as a team and for the environment in Werne! Many thanks to all the apprentices and interns who took part. A big thank you also goes to the municipal building yard for equipping us," summarised training manager Marc Kleps, who accompanied the young adults.
