First fully electric steel-aluminium truck crane

The AK 48 ticks boxes with its large selection of drive concepts, outstanding speed and state-of-the-art control technology. The 48e heralds a new era and shows that emission-free crane technology is already a reality today. It is available with a conventional PTO combustion engine, as a hybrid crane with an additional 400 V electric motor for the lorry's PTO or as an electric crane with 230 V / 400 V charging technology and battery on a carrier vehicle with a separate combustion engine. It lifts payloads of up to 3 tonnes (opt. 6 tonnes) and offers boom lengths of over 48 m (opt. 52 m). The powerful hydraulic system guarantees rapid assembly, a hook speed of 60 m/min and a high working speed.

The stable mast system of the AK 48 enables vertical erection of the mast, 180° positioning of the jib and the tower crane function. The 14 m jib, which can is hydraulically extendible under load using the radio control unit with colour display, can carry a weight of up to one tonne even in the horizontal and fully extended position.

Powerful drive variants
The AK 48 offers a wide range of drive options to suit every requirement. It is available with conventional diesel auxiliary drive, as hybrid with additional 400 V electric motor or as purely electric crane with 230 V / 400 V charging technology and a 30 kWh battery on a carrier vehicle with a separate diesel engine. Thanks to its pioneering drive concept, energy recovery and large battery capacity, the AK 48e with electric winch is able to work for a whole day without recharging.
Available fully electric via E-PTO
As a fully electric truck crane, the AK 48e is completely battery-powered as it travels to the job site. It also works purely electrically in crane and platform operation via the E-PTO. Thanks to its powerful battery capacity, the e-crane can cover distances of around 300 kilometres without stopping to charge. The battery is recharged from 20 to 80 % in about 75 minutes.
Impressive outrigger lift
The powerful outrigger technology raises the truck crane by 85 cm. Thanks to its high ground clearance, the AK 48 is extremely stable in all locations and even on sloping ground.
Enormous range and working heights
The AK 48 carries loads a long way, as well as overcoming major obstacles. For example, it can lift a weight of one tonne up to 28.5 m and at the same time reaches an enormous working height of 31 m.
90° erection of the mast package
The option of setting up the mast completely perpendicular to the carrier vehicle saves space and is a decisive advantage when working close to the façade.
Innovative tower crane function
Thanks to the heavy-duty jib joint, the crane can align the jib at right angles to the mast. This opens up new possibilities, for example when extending loads.
180° angle of the fully extended jib
Thanks to the straight jib position at 180° to the mast, the crane gains additional height so it can reach even beyond the building.
Hydraulically extendible jib
The AK 48 has a strong aluminium jib as standard, which can be hydraulically extended to 14 m under load. It can carry a weight of one tonne even in the horizontal and fully extended position.
Flexible use as an aerial work platform
In just a few simple steps, the AK 48 becomes a fully-fledged aerial work platform. It is designed for attachment of all current Böcker access platforms with load capacities of up to 600 kg.
