LiftPlanner for smart site planning

With the new Böcker LiftPlanner, crane operators can quickly and easily configure customised planning data for their projects. The software facilitates the planning of crane operations of all kinds, as it simulates the optimum crane configuration for practical use in advance. The machine can subsequently be set up on the construction site safely and with optimised reach.

The LiftPlanner is integrated as an additional module within the BöckerConnect customer portal for detailed job planning from the office.  This allows it to be accessed directly online around the clock from any PC with internet access with no need for additional hardware. Various views visualise the future construction site situation, taking all planned parameters into account.

Crane simulation in next to no time

The Böcker LiftPlanner is intuitive to use and customised for the latest Böcker truck and trailer cranes. With just a few clicks, the software simulates crane operations and lifting processes in an easy-to-understand 2D environment. In order to plan all operating situations in detail, a large number of setup options and working positions of the crane can be configured. The user receives a clear simulation of the situation with a side and top view as well as the expected floor load. The data calculated and visualised by LiftPlanner is based on the same data and load diagrams that the crane control system uses in live operation and continuously monitors using sensors.

Planning with added value

The numerous configuration options in the Böcker LiftPlanner include the various outrigger positions of the crane, the mast position in terms of extension length, erection and rotation angle, the angle and extension of the jib and the weight of the load. In addition, a building or obstacle in the area around the crane can be created and displayed. The dimensions of the attached load and the length of the lifting gear can also be set. Based on these project parameters, LiftPlanner displays the permissible working range of the crane and warns of impossible configurations by means of colour coding. Depending on the application situation, the planning software calculates the expected and project-specific ground pressure of each individual crane outrigger.

Moving from theory to practice

The results of the application simulation created can be saved in LiftPlanner on a project-specific basis and exported as a PDF. The document contains all the planned parameters and can be submitted for authorisation or tenders. Preparation on the PC also saves valuable assembly time in practice and maximises the performance of the crane. The project planning created in LiftPlanner serves as a guide for the crane operator so that he can set up and operate the crane on site in the best and most efficient way.
