Green electricity across the board

Böcker goes Green is an integral part of the planning and realisation of our new construction activities. The new main logistics hall, for which the shell construction work is currently underway, will be equipped with a climate-friendly building management system. This controls the heating and ventilation centrally and smartly and prevents valuable heat energy from being lost.

Once all the construction work has been completed, green electricity from the company's own photovoltaic systems will be available throughout the plant. Solar modules have been installed on all newly constructed halls and extensions to date, most recently on the new smaller logistics hall in the form of a PV system with 230 kWp. A further system with around 400 kWp is being installed on the main logistics hall. This not only supplies electricity for the heat pumps, but also for operating the warehouse technology. It also generates electricity for the administration building and two other existing halls. This means that in future all buildings at our company headquarters in Werne will be supplied with solar power across the board and our own electricity share will continue to increase.
