Commhoist receives first Böcker crane

Infrastructure and telecommunication specialist Commhoist, who is part of the Lowton Infrastructure Group (LIG), has taken delivery of its first Böcker AK 52 truck crane supplied with the large PK 600-D access platform including a hoist.

The AK 52 truck crane features an extension length of 52 m and can lift payloads of up to 3,000 kg (optional 6,000/12,000 kg). Equipped with the PK 600-D extendable access platform, it can reach a maximum radius of 30 m with up to five people in the basket or up to 36 m with one person. The optional hoist mounted on the basket allows the convenient handling of mobile phone mast parts of up to 150 kg when installing 5G aerials.

The crane's standard features include a fully hydraulically extendable jib, wireless colour remote control and automatic levelling and variable extension of each individual outrigger. The new arrival for Commhoist is mounted on a 4-axle 32 t carrier vehicle with rear axle steering to ensure maximum manoeuvrability on site. The company has also ordered two new AK 48 truck cranes for delivery later this year and early 2025.

LIG and Commhoist CEO Glynn Carlisle states: "It’s a really exciting time for LIG, and the arrival of these new fleet vehicles signifies our commitment to the future. The expansion of our fleet enables us to enhance flexibility, catering not only to our current clientele but also effectively serving new clients and exploring new market opportunities."
