In addition to height access technology with classic combustion engines, Böcker also showcased the latest electric drive solutions for cranes and lifts at bauma in Munich. A particular highlight was the symbolic handover of the first AHK 36e trailer crane with electric winch to Hüffermann Krandienst GmbH. The rental company, represented by Managing Partner Daniel Janssen, Service and Assembly Manager Christian Bollien and Global Sales Manager Sherwin Mofid, was delighted with the new addition to its rental fleet at the world's leading trade fair for construction machinery.
As part of the nationwide Hüffermann Group, Hüffermann Krandienst offers customised solutions for every challenge and is a full-service provider in the crane, heavy haulage and project engineering sectors. The company relies on state-of-the-art technical equipment and has been continuously investing in Böcker crane technology since 2018. The extensive rental range already includes 32 AHK 36 and AHK 30 KS trailer cranes as well as an AK 37 truck crane. Böcker cranes are particularly popular with roofing companies, carpenters, façade and metal construction companies or in combination with glass suction systems for glass installation.
With the new AHK 36e electric trailer crane, Hüffermann is now expanding its product portfolio once again to offer its customers a further option in the electric crane sector. Looking to the future, the AHK 36e is a perfect addition for Christian Bollien: "Especially in city centres and densely populated areas, districts and municipalities are increasingly demanding emission-free equipment. The AHK 36e is also the ideal solution for our rental customers for use in halls or on traffic-free islands."
When choosing the right trailer crane, Hüffermann opted for the latest generation of the AHK 36e trailer crane. It scores points with its pioneering electric drive concept with high efficiency and electric winch. The crane's extremely low energy consumption combined with a powerful battery capacity of 12.2 kWh ensures long-lasting use without a power connection. Thanks to its electric winch, the AHK 36e not only requires very little energy, it also recovers it when the load is lowered and feeds it into the battery. With a battery capacity of more than 10 hours in regular use, the electric crane can work flexibly and autonomously on the construction site all day long. The electric winch also enables impressive rope speeds of up to 100 m/min, making the sustainable lifting of loads even faster and more efficient. After work or during operation, it can be conveniently charged with 230 V via any household socket. If required, the boost function also increases the charging speed.
Hüffermann's new addition is also equipped with work lights, ambient lighting and warning lights on the supports. The crane eyes on the chassis also allow the AHK to be lifted into inaccessible areas. Thanks to the hook camera at the top of the mast, the operator has an overview at all times and can keep an eye on poorly visible areas on the colour display of the radio remote control. The charging station for the battery and exchangeable battery of the radio remote control is protected in a separate, lockable control box.
With the new AHK 36e, Hüffermann continues to rely on Böcker's proven technology - now also fully electric. "We receive a lot of positive feedback from our customers. Böcker trailer cranes are very intuitive to operate and we can also hire them out without staff thanks to their simple handling," says Daniel Janssen, explaining the advantages for the hire company. "The areas of application are diverse and the cranes can be used very flexibly. A decisive advantage for us is that they are mounted on a trailer with a gross vehicle weight of just 3.5 tonnes. This means that customers can collect the cranes themselves. The ease of maintenance and reliability of Böcker cranes ultimately mean a high level of cost-effectiveness and a fast return on investment for us. And thanks to the electric drive, we are now even more broadly positioned and can open up further areas of application for our customers. The AHK 36e with electric winch is therefore an ideal addition to our hire fleet."
