Green electricity from in-house photovoltaic system

In order to supply the production and administration at the headquarters in Werne with electricity from renewable energy, Böcker installed a photovoltaic system on the roof of the production halls in autumn 2020.

As part of the construction project on Lippestraße, another solar plant with an output of 465 kWp will be installed on the roof of the new crane assembly hall in 2022.

A total of 1,900 solar modules generate a output of 600 kWp on an area of 6,000 sqm. This corresponds to a production of about 532,000 kWh per year and covers a significant part of the company's own electricity demand. Böcker uses 80% of the green electricity for direct consumption and feeds another 20% into the power grid. This avoids CO2 emissions of around 300,000 kg every year.
