Third truck crane for Total Lifting Services

New truck crane AK 52 for UK mobile crane rental company Total Lifting Services

UK mobile crane rental company Total Lifting Services based in East London has taken delivery of a new AK 52 truck crane. This complements their existing fleet of Böcker cranes, which includes an AK 36/4000 and an AK 46/6000 truck crane.

The AK 52 truck crane features an extension length of 52 m (opt. 55.00 m) and is probably the most powerful crane in aluminium-steel design. It can handle a payload up to 12 tons, plus it lifts 3 tons at 31 m height and with a reach of 17 m. Its features include a fully hydraulically extendible jib, endless slewing rotation, wireless colour remote control with automatic levelling, and variable positioning of every individual outrigger. The new arrival for Total Lifting Services is mounted on a 4-axle 32 t carrier vehicle with rear steering for maximum manoeuvrability on site.

Total Lifting Services’ Director Barry Knapp stated: “Bringing an AK 52 into the fleet was the natural next step for the business and our growth, and so far, it has proven itself as a great investment for us. Both Total Lifting and our customer base have been astounded by the versatility of the outriggers when working in confined spaces, especially around those particularly hard to access sites in Central London! The low ground pressures and lifting capabilities of this truck crane have exceeded all expectations, and the AK 52 is now highly sought after by our customers. The Böcker brand credibility, and the continued support we get from them, makes them the obvious choice for our continued investment and growing fleet.”
