At the DACH+HOLZ International 2026 trade fair in Cologne, Böcker will be presenting a pioneering further development in the field of trailer cranes – the new AHK 36e X with 2-section fully hydraulically operated jib. As a Böcker trailer crane of the NeXt generation, the battery-powered crane combines uncompromising performance with sustainable drive technology and sets standards for demanding construction sites. With its hydraulically extendible jib, the electric 1.5 t winch, a revised chassis and optional additional ballasting, the new trailer crane always utilises its performance potential - without compromising on range, payload or working speed.
2-section hydraulically extendible jib for maximum flexibility
With the AHK 36e X, Böcker is presenting a new top-of-the-range trailer crane model that is equipped with a 2-section hydraulically extendible jib as standard. The jib, which can be conveniently extended by colour radio control and has a length of 11 m, can handle a weight of up to 500 kg even when fully extended. If required, an optional mechanical extension increases the range even further.
A key advantage of the new hydraulically operated jib is its greater flexibility in everyday construction site work and the optimised use of the available range. The AHK 36e X can work comfortably with an extended jib in every situation and efficiently utilise the crane's full boom length of up to 34 m (optional 36 m). The hydraulic jib ensures quick and easy automatic crane set-up, especially in tight situations on the ground. In addition, the hydraulic jib technology allows telescoping under load, for example for transport directly into a building.
Record working height of 32 m
The hydraulic extension of the jib also offers a significant increase in flexibility and power as a work platform. In platform mode, the AHK 36e X achieves a working height of 32 m, which is unique in the trailer crane sector. This unrivalled record value guarantees safe, comfortable working from the basket even at great heights.
Electric winch for high working speed
The highly efficient drive concept of the AHK 36e X with electric winch, powerful battery capacity of 12.2 kWh and high efficiency enables electric work without power connection for an entire working day or 140 everyday lifting operations. The innovative 1.5 t electric winch ensures impressive rope speeds and energy recovery when the load is lowered. It can then be conveniently recharged via any standard 230 V socket, either overnight or during operation.
With a maximum payload of 1,500 kg (opt. 2,400 kg in two-fall operation), the AHK 36e X now delivers performance on par with combustion powered models. In addition, it also offers all the advantages of electric, quiet and low-emission operation. In future, the new trailer crane will also be available with a petrol engine.
Revised chassis for more ground clearance
Another highlight of the AHK 36e X is its revised chassis, which will simplify transport and manoeuvring at the installation site in future. In transport position, the outriggers are now swivelled forward on the chassis, improving the slope angle at the rear by 25 %. This design adjustment increases the ground clearance in the transport position – a clear advantage, especially when travelling on inclines, slopes and uneven terrain. As a result, the trailer crane can be moved safely over steep slopes and can master challenging access roads and steep driveways with ease. The revised chassis thus increases the off-road capability of the AHK 36e X and expands the crane's range of applications.
Optional additional ballast for additional range
Böcker now offers an optional additional ballast for the new AHK 36e X, which can be used to specifically extend the range and working area of the trailer crane. This solution is designed in particular for applications with longer downtimes on demanding construction sites and enables the crane's full performance reserves to be utilised. With a suspended load of 250 kg, the crane achieves an additional reach of around 2 m on all sides. The ballasting consists of individual weight plates, which are attached to the crane's frame after it has been set up. The ergonomic suspension of the counterweight plates can be carried out by just one person without additional aids or complex conversions.
