At bauma 2025 in Munich, Böcker presented a large selection of innovative drive solutions for crane and lift technology. One particular highlight was the symbolic handover of the first AHK 30e KS trailer crane with electric winch to Küfner Arbeitsbühnen GmbH from Kulmbach in Upper Franconia. The new trailer crane with highly efficient drive control, powerful battery capacity and energy recovery marks another milestone in all-electric crane technology. Managing Directors Michael Küfner and Lukas Gieger from Küfner Arbeitsbühnen and Kai Schliephake, Managing Director of PartnerLIFT GmbH, were delighted to take delivery of the crane.
The AHK 30e KS trailer crane with electric winch can not only be set up in a space-saving manner thanks to its folding swivel supports and swivelling drawbar, but also impresses with its highly efficient drive control. With its extremely low energy consumption and a high battery capacity of 12.2 kWh, the electric crane can work flexibly and autonomously for a whole day without a power connection. The electric winch enables rope speeds of up to 100 m/min and even recovers energy when the load is lowered. After work or during operation, the AHK 30e KS can be conveniently charged with 230 V at any household socket.
The additional equipment with connection of the AHK 30e KS to the BöckerConnect digital customer portal offers Küfner the option of determining the location, remote maintenance and analysing the application data. The crane is also equipped with ambient lighting and warning lights on the outriggers to ensure maximum safety even in difficult operating areas. The crane lugs on the chassis also allow the AHK to be lifted into inaccessible areas.
Küfner Arbeitsbühnen GmbH, a member of the PartnerLIFT network since 2006, offers solutions for a wide range of applications in height access technology with over 140 machines. The rental company relies on a versatile selection of high-quality and reliable machines from leading manufacturers. A Böcker AHK 30 KS with a petrol engine has been in the rental fleet since 2022 and, according to Lukas Gieger, has met with a strong response from rental customers: "When we decided on a second Böcker trailer crane last year, our first crane was just two years old and experienced unexpectedly high demand from our rental customers. In addition to existing customers, it also brought a number of new tenants to us. Due to the high capacity utilisation, the decision to purchase a second trailer crane was an obvious one. When we learnt that a new all-electric version of the AHK 30 KS with 230 V connection would be presented at bauma, we decided to go for it: We'd be the first to try it out. No sooner said than done, we at Böcker are already at bauma 2025 in Munich with our new showpiece."
The numerous advantages of an electric crane for the construction sites of their rental customers impressed Küfner right from the start: "The quiet running of the electric motor is a clear benefit, because in addition to the fuel consumption of a petrol engine, noise emissions are a burden for workers and residents that should not be underestimated, especially on narrow construction sites in existing residential areas. And virtually every construction site has a 230 V connection. Thanks to electric operation, we can now also offer customers a solution for indoor use. The new crane works even faster than the petrol version and is quieter, more environmentally friendly and therefore more customer-friendly for the user."
The performance of the AHK 30 KS has already proven itself in practice at Küfner: "1,000 kg payload is more than sufficient for 95 % of the crane applications of a light, compact trailer crane. Our experience to date with the Böcker crane can be summarised in one sentence: Once explained, proven a thousand times over!" emphasises Gieger. Roofing companies and carpentry firms in particular hire the AHK 30 KS for transporting loads upwards. The demand-orientated rental of machines available at short notice covers peak loads in the trade businesses' own vehicle fleets, for example.
“The AHK 30e KS is the next step into the future for us,” summarises Lukas Gieger. “Environmentally friendly, efficient and user-friendly - this crane will inspire our customers.”
