Second Böcker crane for the rental fleet of Berning Mietservice

Berning Mietservice's rental fleet of over 1,000 machines has been expanded to include the RK 36/2400 crawler crane. Equipped with a fixed hook, ambient lighting, colour radio system, as well as a diesel and electric motor combination, the crawler crane is up to all tasks in everyday construction site life.

PartnerLIFT member Berning Mietservice from Nordwalde successfully rents out the Böcker truck crane AK 37/4000 since 2017 after a first contact at the Böcker Crane Days. In the truck class up to 7.49 t, the truck crane AK 37/4000, which is mounted on a MAN or Mercedes truck, sets new standards. With a maximum payload of 4 t and extension lengths of up to 37 m as well as high outreaches of up to 28 m at a load of 250 kg, the crane effortlessly transports all loads even to the rear roof or building side. In the field of rental of work platforms, construction machinery and forestry and garden equipment, Berning makes machines available at locations throughout Germany and also offers regular courses such as operator training for work platforms and construction machinery.

The bauma 2019 in Munich finally saw the order for the second crane and the rental fleet of over 1,000 machines was expanded to include the RK 36/2400 crawler crane. Equipped with a fixed hook, ambient lighting, colour radio system, as well as a diesel and electric motor combination, the crawler crane is up to all tasks in everyday construction site life.

The Böcker RK 36/2400 can cope with any kind of ground and does not lose its grip even on soft ground, sand or gravel. Its compact crawler chassis provides safe traction, an optimum ground load distribution and guarantees optimum manoeuvrability. With a maximum extension length of 36 m and payloads of up to 2,400 kg, the model also impresses with its performance at a low unladen weight. Even with a load of 250 kg, a reach of 23 m is still achieved. This is made possible, among other things, by its fully hydraulically telescopic hybrid mast profile.

The crawler chassis of the RK 36/2400 reaches a speed of 2.4 km/h in creep mode and 4.5 km/h in rapid mode. The crane is driven by a powerful diesel engine. In addition, it can be equipped with an electric motor with the same performance data, so that noiseless and emission-free operation without loss of power is guaranteed. This enables the crane to be used in industrial plants or commercial premises, for example. With up to 256 different support positions and automatic levelling, the modern MULTIFLEX shoring system provides an optimum performance range even in confined spaces and compensates for ground unevenness of up to 50 cm.

The RK 36/2400 can be used in a variety of ways: It can be used not only as a crane but also as an aerial work platform with a fixed and rotating working cage. Thanks to the Easy-Lock system, it can be converted in just a few minutes - without any tools. This makes the crawler crane a valuable helper in hall, glass and facade construction as well as in garden and landscape maintenance.
