Rental company Cork Crane Hire receives Böcker Truck Crane

Cork Crane Hire based in Widnes, England, adds an AK 52 truck mounted crane to its fleet of machines. This is the first Böcker crane ever purchased by Cork Crane Hire.

The truck crane AK 52 features an extension length of 52 m and an optional 3 m extension for a maximum length of 55 m. The probably most powerful crane in aluminium-steel design can handle a payload up to 12,000 kg and can lift 3,000 kg on 31 m with a reach of 17 m. Features include a fully hydraulically extendible jib, wireless color remote control with automatic levelling, and fully variable positioning of every individual outrigger. The AK 52 was also supplied with a PK 600-D personnel basket with +/- 220-degree side to side rotation and a maximum capacity of five people or 600 kg at a maximum working range of 30 m. It is mounted on a compact 3-axle 26 t carrier vehicle with rear steering for maximum manoeuvrability on site. The crane was supplied in Cork Crane Hires’s custom livery and sign writing.

Directors Sean Desmond and Pat Mulvihill from Cork Crane Hire stated: “Great to take delivery of the first AK 52 in the Northwest. We are looking forward to being able to offer this crane to our customers in addition to our current extensive range of cranes. This versatile crane will be a great bonus to the Telecoms industry with the rolling out of the new 5G network and especially with the inclusion of the extending MEWP.”
